Is the sequence in the solution wrong since it does not take into account adding the 3 then multiplying by 2, should be 2,6,18,42 ?

First term = 2
Next term = (2 + 3) x 2 = 10, even;
Next term = (10+3) x 3 = 26, even; etc.
Next term = (2 + 3) x 2 = 10, even;
Next term = (10+3) x 3 = 26, even; etc.
