If I substitute -1 vs 1 for r I get different results (2r=+/-2) and (r^2+1=2) so shouldn't the answer be D? Thanks

r= -10 >> -20 < 101
r = 0 >> 0 < 1
r=2 >> 4 < 5
r = 100 >> 200 < 10001
Mona, it seems like A < B, except when r=1, but that is not allowed by the problem. So B is the answer.
