Is this for general analysis? Without question, but for religious candidate this is not true. They would focus in preparing for heaven. However, not all believe in heaven, some do.

The passage draws an analogy between the end of a century and the end of life. So you're looking to figure out where the end of life is similar to the end of the a century. Since the end of a century never thinks about heaven, you don't have to worry about heaven.
Also, you'll note that none of the answer choices mention heaven, which means it's not a consideration.
