I don't understand the irony in disease being cured compared to AIDS

Hi Ramya,

''Ironic'' means ''happening in the opposite way to what is expected.''

We would expect an ''easily cured'' disease that is rampaging through society to be quickly cured. The irony is that the easily cured disease is not being cured.
