One of the golden rules that Nova always mention, that when you have a question with numbers, always eliminate (D) or (E), which means no enough info to decide, we have result so close to the options, which made myself so confused about picking the right answer.

Hi Sudad,

If there are only numbers in a Quantitative Comparison problem (where you are comparing the sizes of the expressions in columns A and B), then (D) cannot be the answer. But this is not a Quantitative Comparison problem, so the rule does not apply.

Also, on hard problems ONLY, if you are asked to find the least (or greatest) number, then eliminate the least (or greatest) answer-choice. Although this is a hard problem, it is not asking for the least (or greatest) number. So, the rule does not apply.
