I apologize but my phone isn't allowing me to view the whole solution. Can you please explain the answer?

Since l1 is parallel to l2, s and x are corresponding angles and therefore are congruent. Now, about any point there are 360 degrees. Hence, 5x + s = 360; substituting x for s gives 5x + x = 6x = 360. x = 60. Answer is C.
