Petit, 4-in-a-circle is the same as the area of a square with diameter=4. Area = π*(.5*4)^2 = 4π. 6-in-a-circle is, by the same logic, is π*(.5*6)^2 = 9π.
Multiply the first and the second, and you get 36π^2.
Answer D is π*12-in-a-circle = π* 12-in-a-circle = π*π*(1/2*12)^2 = 36π^2

I get everything up until 36π^2 but where does the 12 come from
