Think of defined function as f(x). So in this case f(r,s,t) =r*sqrt(s+t)

Column A is f(1,x,x)=sqrt(2x)
Column B is f(1,2.1)=sqrt(3)

Which one is larger? Can't really know since x can be anything, right? So the answer is D.

Hi Tiffany,

The problem is testing how well you can adjust to unusual symbols.

The double lines are just a random symbol we used to represent the expression. We could have used @(r, s, t) or any other distinctive symbol.

Not clear. Got it correct based on simple quick reasoning but further analysis doesn't prove to be useful. Another lame question. Part of the more difficult stuff is being able to understand the questions!
