Maggie, did you check the Solution yet :) ?

y = -3x + 7; the question is asking about the least value of x for which y < 1.

So -3x + 7 < 1, or -3x < -6. Further simplifying, we can divide both sides by -3, but remember that dividing an inequality by a negative number flips the sign. So we get x > 2. This means, as long as x is larger than 2, y is less than 1. The least x possible is 3.
