I would recommend plugging in some simple numbers like 0, 1 ,-1 for each choice instead of trying to solve it formally like the solution.

Usually when X^2 > 2X, X are negative numbers (-2, -1...)
If X>2, then X^2 > 2X is also valid.
In this case, X^2 < 2X, then X could be something like 0.3,3/4.
And therefore you could eliminate some answer choices
