How do u do this question? It seems so confusing using the numbers provided! The larger the number the more value the difference is! I tried 1 but it gave me the difference of -3 not -1!!!

Jagathi, try doing it more slowly. If you plug in 1, you get 1 - 2, which is -1.

Thank you.. I thought that the exponent was for 2x not just x thanks for explaining this to me! :)
