Suppose x=2 none of the answer choices would make sense right

Hi Hibz,

If x = 2, then 2(x + 1) = 2(2 + 1) = 2(3) = 6.

In this case, the next two integers greater than 2(x + 1) are 7 and 8. Their product is 56.

Now, replacing x with 2 in Choice (A) yields

4(2)^2 + 14(2) + 12 = 16 + 28 + 12 = 56.

No other answer-choice equals 56 when x = 2, so Choice (A) is correct.
