If the correct answer is B, it seems that we have to inject bring in sone new information which is not given in the paragraph from prior knowledge of the beliefs of Socrates.there is nothing in the paragraph from which we can infer that Socrates changed his belief. But we can resort to other choices which can resolve the paradox with out any need to bring any new info that's not given in the paragraph
