Aren't we assuming Fred is speaking the truth when he says "I always speak the truth" ? This claim can't be verified. It was simply presented as a quote from a person about himself.

What about when it says he will feel like hell 'tomorrow' but the answer says he feels like hell, as in feeling like hell now?

Cody and Oge, the paragraph says: "Last night I said", which means that today is last night's tomorrow.
